Restoration

Over the years we have done alot of work at Durham Cathedral. This picture was taken after the removal and restoration of seven windows from the middle level and also three windows from the bottom level.

Signs to look out for

These are some signs that your stained glass windows are reaching end of life....

  1. Sagging or bulging lead panels.
  2. Water or wind leaking through the stained glass.
  3. Cracked or missing glass.
  4. Previous repairs glued into place or mismatching glass.
  5. Rattling / loose sound when lightly tapping on window.
  6. Unattached / missing saddle bars.
